BIG SPOON

big spoon game

For this game you need oatmeal, bowls, broomsticks, duct tape, and plastic spoons.

Cook some instant oatmeal before group. Make sure you have a generous amount of oatmeal for each bowl you will use. Tape a spoon to the end of a broomstick. You also need a table that the oatmeal will sit on.

Recruit teams of two. One member of the team will sit in a chair at the table. The other member of the team will stand on the other side of the table holding the broomstick with the spoon. Set a bowl of oatmeal in front of each student that is seated at the table. Their teammate will hold the broomstick at the opposite end of the spoon and scoop some oatmeal into the spoon then try to feed the oatmeal to their teammate.

It’s challenging to hold the broomstick from such a long distance away and accurately get a scoop of oatmeal. It’s even more challenging to feed their teammate. The team that eats the most oatmeal in a minute wins.
