Matt Hinsley of The Link Student Ministry turned in this game for Stash readers. Here are the instructions straight from Matt. Enjoy.

This is a game I found and thought it would be a great valentine’s game.

Break students into small teams (4-6 students).
You will need as many buckets of ice water as you have teams.
Equally distribute candy hearts in each bucket.
Have students remove their shoes and socks. Each team will sit in a circle of chairs with a bucket in the middle.
On “Go!” they are to quickly as possible “fish out” the candy hearts with their feet. The first team with all their hearts out wins.
Another option would be, the first team with all the hearts out and read wins.

My thought is this…how do you put them in ‘ice water’ but they don’t dissolve before you can effectively use them in the game?

Good question… maybe you can freeze the bag of candy overnight. Dumping them in ice water with them frozen will probably give you enough time of game play before they dissolve.

Freezing them is a great idea, I also use the large hearts to lengthen the dissolve time.

looks like a grand opportunity to go 90’s and bust out backstreet boys’ “quit playin’ games with my heart”
