For this game you will buy four types of baby food. There are a variety of kinds such as turkey, green beans, etc. You will also need pillow stuffing, or stuffed animal styled material from a craft store. Make four faux Santa beards from your material. It doesn’t have to be a ready to wear beard. The faux beards will rest on a table. Write or type out on four separate sheets of paper or index cards your four baby food flavors. Cover your baby food labels or remove them altogether. Smear a sample of baby food from one baby food jar on just one beard. Repeat for each beard so that there is a different baby food item on each beard. Recruit a student. Reveal the four flavors at the start of the game to the volunteer.

Students will smell the first beard and try to guess which baby food item the beard contains. If they guess wrong they must take three to four spoon fulls of the baby food they got wrong. If they guess right they pick a friend from the audience to eat the food. The premise of this game is that Santa’s beard sometimes gets a little dingy from the last meal. What’s cooking Santa?

Did this last Wednesday night and it was awesome. We changed it a little and had 3 students wearing the beards while the food was put on and smelled by the other contestant. If the guessing student got it right then the student wearing that beard had to eat it. Great results. Thanks for the idea!

I’m thinking about using this but making it what baby Jesus was eating. Considering a couple plain bibs for the same concept as beard. Nevertheless, cool game.
