SAILORS AND PIRATES

BE YE WARNED! This game takes a while to setup but it’s alot of fun to play and see unfold. My intern told me about this game. Enjoy.

How to play:
Have a person with a loud voice in charge that calls out the directions. It’s kind of like Simon says :]

Directions:
PORT= run to the right
STARBOARD = run to the left
HIT THE DECK = lay flat on the ground as fast as you can
CAPTAIN IS COMING = stand straight and salute the person in charge. Must stay still until the caller says AT EASE.
LIGHTHOUSE = two people put the hands up in a bridge/tent type formation and run in a circle
MAN OVERBOARD = two people grab hands around a third person and sway back and fourth
FOUR MAN EATING = four people sit in a group on the group pretending to be eating
FIVE MEN ROWING = five people stand in a line and pantomime rowing a boat.

People who are the last to move on a direction are out.

    We played this at a birthday party last year – it’s a lot of fun!

    I thought that it was funny that four men eating had the group sitting on top of the group! hahaha, I am pretty sure it is supposed to say ground but I got a laugh out of it!

    Great game! I used capture the pearl last night!

    Youth Leader Stash, Life is bubbly and groovy, God is the greatest, wondering if you guys have some expertise in the field of newbies. My group is growing with tons of new kids, turnover is going to be tremendous since our Seniors are graduating and we had many. I want to use one of our weekly programs, Thursday nights is when our church meets but to have an evening of fellowship and bringing together all the kids. Not even our volunteer team knows much of these kids as their attendance isn’t that great. Give me some ideas for making a tremendous night that kids can get acclimated with one another. You guys, God is great all the time my brothers and sisters!
