Reverse Crab is pretty easy. Divide the group in two and send them to the opposite sides of the room. Make sure your room is clear. Have each team face the wall so they can’t see the other team. Have them sit down. The object of the game is to have one team backwards crab walk from one side of the room to the other. The team with all members to the opposing wall first wins. ┬áThis game is funny because they collide into each other in the middle of the room and crab walk over and around each other.

Sounds fun but almost a little dangerous…do they bonk noggins in the middle of the room?

They bump backs but remember that they are practically crawling. The impact is low.

Played it with JR. High students last night. It works better to make the path a lot smaller for them to move through (causing them to force their way through each other). It got a lot of laughs. Only works for a few minutes though.

We do something like this but we call it “traffic jam”.
( we just do a bunch of different styles to get across the room/gym- crab walk, bunny hop, piggy back…. It is always a blast
