Here is a contest you can play during the Superbowl. If your program runs with small groups you can award the winner of the leader ob with a mini-party pack for the students they shepherd. Simply bring your leaders up to the front of the meeting space. Place a large trash can in the back of the room. You may need to go outside for this game if your space is limited. Leaders will lob the football toward the trash can attempting to make it in. Depending on how many leaders you have you may see several leaders make it into the can. Move them on to the next round until you have a winner. Let the students who are in their group cheer them on.

I am sorry but this game is week in my opinion. I think you should have kids throw the ball and have them be the hero…not the leader. The whole point, in my opinion, in the game is to help set up a kid to be a hero not for the leader to be.

Thanks for the insight. This is the first game out of a 100 some odd games where a leader is involved. That’s why I made it student friendly with having the winner getting a party for his or her group. I hope 1 out of a 100 or so is tolerable now and then. I’m involved in YL and Wyldife so I know the whole philosophy of taking the floor at camp to give a kid first choice of bunk and serving them well. I hope the Leader Lob idea didn’t bring you any pain or offend you. I also hope that you see the balance I’ve endeavored to create in all of the offerings on the site. Thanks for loving and pursuing kids with Christ.

It’d be a great game even if you don’t play it on Super Bowl Sunday… maybe an All Area Leadership or End of Semester Leader party. Thanks for sharing
