Students will come to understand the fruition of unchecked greed in their life as painful and all consuming.
Problem: Greed consumes our society and our desire to be comfortable and selfish. Living a life of greed is never sustainable and changes us from who we are to what we are after.
Point: Christ calls us to live a life where he becomes our desire. When God asks us to put him first and everything else last it is out of his love. Because he is the ultimate expression of compassion and goodness he would be an unjust God to not point us toward Him.
Possible Passages: Mark 10:17-31, Luke 12:13-21, Philippians 3:1-11
