I just thought I would throw out a talk outline for Thanksgiving for you to use in either your youth group or maybe even campaigners. If you meet where there is projection and you like the title slide you’re free to use it. Maybe this will help you out during the season. Enjoy.
This talk should help students take inspection of gratitude and humility.
Problem: No matter how little or how much you have it’s easy to take things for granted. Sometimes that leads us to selfishness, entitlement, or ingratitude.
Point: There is nothing you have or will have that God has not given to you freely. What you do with what he has given you says a lot about your heart and your sense of belonging to Christ. Christ healed ten lepers but only one returned to give thanks. Be the one and not the nine.
Passages: Luke 17:11-19, Colossians 3:15, I Thessalonians 5:18, Psalm 95:1-6
