In this game you divide your large group into teams of two people. If the leader says “BRONCO” one of the students in each group of two will jump down on all fours and the second student will sit on their back as if they are riding a horse. If the leader says “BABY” one of the students in each group of two will jump into the arms of the second student as if they are being cradled like a baby. If the leader says “BACKPACK” one of the students in each group of two will jump on the back of the second student like they are getting a piggy back ride. The last group of two students to form up the combination is out and couples are eliminated until there are two couples left and a winner is crowned. For larger groups you may need to say that the last three are out. To make the game more fun yell out a combination explaining before hand that the students ca not move until you say “GO!” Example: “BABY, BRONCO, BACKPACK, BABY, GO!” The teams of two will frantically go through all of those until they perform the last “BABY.”

We play this game at least once a month. My students all say that they hate it but they laugh like no other every time we play it. The only change we make is that everyone is moving around the room all at one time. It’s a great way to get the night started.

This game worked like a charm…we played David Crowder’s “Church Music” (Dance!) song as the soundtrack for the game. So, not only was everyone enjoying the game, there was absolutely no deadtime as it was filled with dancing.

We changed this game a bit and it is still very fun. Some of the kids had problems catching others in their arms for the Baby part. So we switched it to “Bird” Not sure if you have played birdie on a perch or not but i got the idea from that game. If the leader says “BIRD” one of the students in each group of two will get down on one knee and the other will sit on it.
