DESTINATION & WHAT IF…

I have two different graphics for the same teaching content. Looking at the “what if” graphic I realized it was a little dark. My intent was to play on the light at the end of the tunnel assumption. The “destination” graphic gives you some energy to talk about journey and life.

Purpose

At the end of this series students will have wrestled with the implications of God existing. This is a series for helping fringe students ask big questions and for committed students to galvanize their spiritual focus.

Week 1 – What’s God’s motive?

Problem: Many students have a view of God that negatively influences their potential relationship with Him.

Point: God is not out to get you or pick on you in life. He is not unattainable or callous to your pain and hurt. In fact, Jesus comes to give life to the fullest.

Passage John 10:10

Week 2 – Jesus is..

Problem: What you think about and defines everything about you.

Point: When you lay your head down on your pillow at night, alone with your thoughts, and without any distractions what comes to your mind when you think about who Jesus is? Nobody can stand in your place and answer this for you and no one can loan you their spiritual response. If He is who he says he is then Jesus deserves serious inspection. If he is not then nothing matters.

Passages Luke 9:18-20, Matthew 16:13-16, Mark 8:27-30

Week 3 – God with us.

Problem: It’s so easy to overlook the fact that God is with us. We seldom realize what this means.

Point: If there is a God it says an incredible amount of things about him in that he would come to earth put on our skin and be with us. Even now he is here and very much in tune with you whether you feel it or not.

Passage John 1:14
